Dear Parents,
Welcome to Room 34's website! I am a
firm believer that strong parent-teacher communication is essential in order
to maximize student learning. With that in mind, it is my hope that this
website will help you communicate with me. In addition to having the option
of calling me at school (696-1411 x2534) or sending a note with your child,
I can also be reached via e-mail.
If you ever have a question, concern, or something you would like to share
with me, please feel free to use the e-mail link located to the left. I
check my e-mail multiple times each day (and during evenings and weekends) and make it a priority to be prompt
in responding to messages.
Another
goal of mine is that mrcoley.com will help keep you up-to-date on what we're
learning in the classroom. Each week, the students'
spelling words will be
posted, and a listing of daily homework assignments can be found on the
Homework page. In order to give you an idea
of what's to come, important dates for things like upcoming
tests and projects will be constantly updated on the Calendar page. If you want a more detailed look at what we're
learning in the classroom, you can visit The Daily
Blog, a page filled with student-written articles on what's taking place
in Room 34. As the year
progresses, the
Art
page will display the work of artists we study, as well as student-created
artwork. Finally, be sure to take some time and listen to
ColeyCast, our classroom's very own
podcast!

Want another way to stay
connected? If you're on Twitter, consider following me (@brentcoley)
as I tweet about upcoming tests/quizzes, website updates, and
things relating to the classroom.
Since material published to the
Internet can be seen by the world, parent permission must be obtained before
I can display children's work on this site. For details on exactly how
student work will be displayed, please view our
Classroom
Website Consent Form
.
Again, welcome to Room 34's home on the
Web. Any
feedback
regarding how I can make this site better would be greatly appreciated. For
more information about the classroom, please visit the links at the
top of this page. Enjoy the site!
Sincerely,
Brent Coley
