Reported by Desarae

Hi, I am Desarae and I will be your Roving Reporter for today. In the morning, we came in at 8:30 but we had to go to Friday Flags. We said the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States Flag. After the pledge, we went back to class to start our day. We had to get out our D.A.R.E books. D.A.R.E stands for Define, Assess, Respond and Evaluate. We talked about how bad it was to take smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol if you are under the age of 18.

Next we went to the MPR to see a band play. It sounded awesome. I wish I could learn an instrument. After that, we went back to class to put our things up to prepare for recess. I played tetherball. I love to play tetherball.

The bell rang, it was time to line up by the door at our classroom but someone yelled at this little girl. The aide, Ms. Nancy, tried to find out who yelled at the little girl because the little girl was crying and upset.

After Ms Nancy found out who yelled, we went inside and sat down at our assigned desk for Mr. Coley Math Class. We didn’t have math today because Mr. Coley had to give back some papers that we were suppose to give us to take home for our parents to sign.

Then, Mr. Coley told us to read. I was reading Christmas in Camelot by Mary Pope Osborne. While I was reading, Mr. Coley called people back to record our State Report [ColeyCast]. Once Mr. Coley completed the recording of the state reports, it was time for lunch.

For lunch, I had a bean and cheese burrito.  After I ate, there was a tug a war between Mr. Coley’s class and Ms Becker’s class. The girls won twice and Mr. Coley’s class also won.

After lunch recess, we came in the class room and we started “Friday’s Business”.  The game was “Deal or No Deal”. Josh and Randi were chosen to play the game. They didn’t win. After that, Mr. Coley told us that he was going to read us a book. The book was called House on the Gulf.  It was boy who suspicious about the owners who is house-sitting for. It was really a good book!

The remaining of the day was Friday fun day. Fun day is when we get to play outside, but if you have a homework slip, you cannot participate. You would have to go to study hall. The ball rang and we were dismissed to go home.  I went to the classroom to grab my backpack.
