Pablo Picasso was
born on October 25, 1881, in the country of Spain. The son of an artist,
Picasso grew up loving art. At the age of 14, he completed the one-month
entrance examination of the Academy of Fine Arts in one day! In 1900, he
moved to Paris in search of new ideas for his art. During his career,
Picasso went through many different periods, but probably the one for which
he is most famous is his Cubism period. During this period, Picasso painted
objects that looked like they were broken into pieces, and the viewer's eye
had to put them back together again. His paintings' often weird looks are
what has helped make Picasso one of the most famous artists of all time.
