M.C. Escher was a master of creating artwork containing repeated patterns
called tessellations. In an attempt to copy Escher's style, the
students of Room 34 came up with their own tessellation creations. Students
took a small, self-made pattern and traced it multiple times to create a
tessellating image. Their job was then to add detail and color to turn
their eye-catching patterns into the beautiful works of art you see below.
